Last year during the summer period more than 50,000 passengers chose the Train in the Wilderness; 30,000 of them concentrated on the line built in Ogliastra, the one that starts from the coast, precisely at Arbatax, and stops in the middle of Sardinia, Mandas.
Due to the great amount of passengers, the Company of Public Transport has decided to open early the season: the Mandas – Gairo is going to travel two months earlier than usual. The rides will start again on April and will be available for booking every weekends up to May.
In June, the line will resume its normal timetable: every day, except Tuesday.
