Sardinia is one of the most known spot in the Mediterranean area for climbing. Its crags are unique and Maurizio knows it: he has gone on rock-climbing here for more than twenty years, becoming the most expert sportsman on the subject.

About Ogliastra, he has written in his guide that “..it's threatening Cala Gonone”. In fact in Baunei, Jerzu, Ulassai, Villagrande and Osini often you have the crag to yourselves and you can climb even in winter because of a mild climate, while in summer the high mountain crags near the coast stay cool.

So, if you are planning to visit Ogliastra for climbing, don't forget to bring 'Pietra di luna' with you.
